In our brand new video series, ‘The Suite Life,’ eight Brooklyn wellness and beautypreneurs who work out of NYBeauty Suites’ studios in Flatbush and Downtown Brooklyn will be sharing behind-the-scenes stories of their lives and work every week on our Instagram and our YouTube. We will be releasing the videos on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the first episode premiering Youtube!
This series will provide an up-close-and-personal look at some of the women in Brooklyn’s booming beauty industry, featuring specialists who have poured their hearts into building their own businesses from the ground up. More than just a physical space, many women find a nurturing community in the NYBeauty Suites studios, full of like-minded entrepreneurs who share similar visions and victories.
“At NYBeauty Suites, we believe in empowering the next generation of beautypreneurs and breaking barriers within the beauty industry,” said founder Johanne Brierre. “Through the ‘Suite Life’ video series, we hope to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs to embrace their unique talents and pursue their dreams.”
You’ll meet Shawna Kay, who went to cosmetology school while working a full-time job at the post office; Ashley, who talks about how the journey toward independence has fueled her self-growth; makeup artist Wedlyn; skin care specialists Niara and Shantini and more.
Not only will these women share their personal stories, they’ll also offer advice to aspiring beauty professionals.
Whether the theme is hot pink walls and matching scrubs, soothing lilacs and greenery, pastels and watercolors or neon lights, every NYBeauty Suites studio is a canvas for and reflection of the woman who works inside. The Suite Life series will be a virtual tour of these spaces and the personalities that bring them to life, as well as a celebration of creativity, empowerment, and the transformative power of pursuing your dreams.
