Beauty is more than what we see, it’s also how we care for what’s unseen. NY Beauty Suites is proud to sponsor the Global Shapers So Fresh and So Green project to create 500 mental health first aid kits for Beautypreneurs. “So Fresh and So Clean is bringing mental health resources directly to cosmetologists on the frontline of well-being”, said the initiative’s creator, Oluwakemi Oritsejafor.

We recognize that hairstylists, barbers, estheticians, massage therapists, nail and lash techs and other service providers are often the go-to therapists for their clients. Some states even require them to take domestic violence awareness training for their license renewal.

So we hosted an invite-only Well Being Lab at our Willoughby location with 12 beauty, barbering and wellness professionals. We poured into beauty and wellness professionals in our network and had them share their stories with us. “As a barber, we have men who talk to us about heavy things and it’s great to now have resources to give to them”, said NYBeauty Suites member, Rudy Hackett.

We are committed to supporting these service providers because we know in this industry, they don’t just transform appearances, they hold stories, create safe spaces, and shape confidence.
